genealogy

Simply, this is the stuff of dreams. Or, the stuff of my dreams, anyways, as best as I can put them into words (and sometimes graphic fiction-esque experience-turned-to-images-and-words format, if I have the time and motivation). That's the short of it.

The long if it is as follows:

It began with finding many unused notebooks that were old birthday presents from aeons ago.
I put them to use writing down my dreams (after much deliberation).
I filled one book, and found another. I couldn't finish it though, my hand couldn't write fast enough and I'd gotten so used to writing on a keyboard that allows you to edit, insert, reorder, etc. which was useful and necessary since my remembering of dreams is never linear.
So I started writing in a note on my computer. But it got too long. So I thought I'd move it to a word doc. But it got too long (I couldn't scroll to the bottom anymore, it was too many pages, and it lagged when it was opening).
So I started writing each dream on a separate note.

Now, if you were to count it all, it would amount to:
-one filled notebook
-one partially filled notebook (about a dozen pages)
-loose sheets of paper from a notepad, now tucked in my bookshelf
-entries in travel journals (one to Guatemala, one to the Philippines, one to NYC)
-100+ typed pages in word document
-50 individual computer notes
of dreams since around 2009, not including the ones I couldn't put into words, or the ones I've unfortunately forgotten, or any other scraggling ones on paper I've misplaced over the years.

So the purpose of this blog? To archive my dreams. I had thought about compiling it eventually to make into a book, but I don't even know how that's possible if I can't scroll down the pages on the word doc that I wrote a huge amount of them on.

So I'll start transferring them here in no particular order, with the dreams I had recently (not that chronology really has anything to do with the stuff of dreams).

I hope you enjoy reading my dreams as much as I enjoy weirding people out when I tell them about them.
